2-15-09 Here is a map of the community. Yashemel/Yaxgemel is the community with a lot of switch backs leading down into a stream basin. The end of the water project is just above/north of the road about 200-300 meters (maybe more).
The beginning of the project is away to the southwest and is a whopping 171 meters above the end point. To make the system work, it only needed a decent of 5 meters from the source to the destination. Not quite sure where the source is on the map, but if you follow the road to the west, maybe 1500 meters, you’ll come to maybe the second community from Yaxgemel…just south of the road about 200 meters is a school and big soccer field/basket ball court…the rectangle clearing. From the school, it is 1300 meters +/- slightly south west…you can’t tell, but it is all uphill.
That’s the best I can do with this slow connection and graphic tools.
You might also try putting in the coordinates for the community into Google Earth I think these are it…Latitude: 16.91667 Longitude: -92.51667
