On the Ground runs on a small staff working alongside cooperative employees, agronomists and educators in each region, with governance from a volunteer board of directors.

DRC Country Director
Read more about HermanHerman helped make On the Ground's Run Across Congo a reality and has been managing the organization's programs in the DRC ever since. He has extensive experience managing development programs in the DRC and holds a degree in African pedagogy and a Master's in community management.
Herman has devoted his life to improving the lives of his fellow Congolese, particularly women, and has endured unimaginable heartache alongside his Congolese brothers and sisters.
